Based on Server 2003 32 bit.

I have one of these built out of the parts hoard.

S775 with a C2Q 9550, I think, anyway, just under 3 ghz with a 1333 bus. Gigabyte board, 4 gig ddr2. HDD's get added to a "pool" similar to "drive spaces" in later windows versions.

It just sits in the corner, headless, doing file serving, and doing daily back-up's of all xp and later machines. It does this brilliantly. Probably why M$ dropped it.

They did a v2 version but it was a crock.

Snagged a Seagate Ironwolf 2tb drive for this today on Amazon. £54 which is about the same price standard 2TB drives are going for, so not bad.

I've enough space on it now to copy all my movies off my Synology NAS.
