TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | Well.... More food. And a little easy and fast diy project. A monitor stand, using old dead harddrives, Epoxy glue and a wooden plate. Clearance is perfect for Commodore64's to be tucked under the plate. The food is Swedish sausage kasaroll. Cream/tomato/paprika sauce, cubes of precooked potatoes and wienna sausage. Then there are a simple Taco-salad, using crushed triangle taco-chips/corn-chips/majs-chips and the usual stuff. TM Crusoe Posts: 618 Location: Hull, UK | Don't tease me, it's gone past a year now that my gut medication has been out of production and eating isn't pleasant. I have added another card to my collection of SB clones; I have also decided to finish reading a series of books I got halfway through as a kid, only to end up too busy with education to read the rest of them. Started by buying the first ten (there's another between Neville The Devil and Kid Swap that I ordered from elsewhere, they're out of order in the picture) as some of mine are missing and the ones I still have are beat half to death; No doubt they'll drop in quality towards the end (there are sixteen books total) but I still want to read the rest of them beyond the first seven. Rise MP6 Posts: 263 | Well, to answer my own question. Some stout fellow has collected 7,000 DOS games and put them in that "LaunchBox" wrapper! So after 10 hours downloading 491GB of files. I've expanded my games collection somewhat. All the games are zipped in a folder, if you want them stand alone.

TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | The glue have dried, so I used some time today, to set it up propperly on my vintage computing table. I really like the result of this. It is a nice way to recycle old computer harddrives. And the end result is exactly what I was aiming at. Rise MP6 Posts: 263 | That's a fun shelf just the right height too! Aye, the biggest download I've ever done. 454GB of it is just the games zipped! Plus artwork and manuals etc. Someone has really worked hard doing this.

Only 3.7GB lol Direct download link here... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BXPHzddB4beiOE52pz4tZ-BMAHvnjtOQ There's 2,003 games in that collection. I found a 17,2 gigabyte compressed file with C64 software. I think it was found through some internet archieving site or something like that. The name of the file is "TOSEC.2016.11.11.Commodore.C64.AlphaBot.zip". There are almost too much, and it takes forever to sort it in alphabetical order (placing in folder/directories)

Rise MP6 Posts: 263 | Aye they can be overwhelming! The one I linked to has all the games as .d64 images, alphabetically, in folders. It's got pretty much every game I remember and a lot more! The exodos one is just mammoth. They've just released v5 of their package too, with even more games. I've enough to be going on with sifting through the version I downloaded! I've put it on a USB 750GB drive. So I can use it on any computer. It's like having your own DOS archive, which is their mission, I suppose.

TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | Yup. Some of these files are just massive. Oh well... Yesterday I had some nice stuff for dinner. I started by roasting some bacon cubes untill they were crunchy. Then added four giant mushrooms (portobella) cut into big cubes and roasted in the bacon and bacon fatt. Added whipping cream / heavy cream (38 percent) and let it reduce untill it was thick. Tons of fresh grounded black pepper, and served on top of pasta. I have absolutely no idea if it is Italian and if so, what it is called in Italy. This is just something that I have come up with on my own. Edited by Brostenen 2020-11-04 11:17 PM

TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | tedster - 2020-11-05 3:01 AM I don't care what nationality it is it sounds fucking great! It is totally awesomme. Just reduce the cream by 50%. It takes some time, yet fully worth it. And I have just made a dough, for what might be the worlds best bread. I can give you the recepie if you like for trying it out on your own. It needs to raise for some 12 hours and then raise an aditional 2 hours before baking. And now for something completely different.... I have ordered a pair of Logitech Z240 PC Speakers. By the looks of them, I suspect that they will deliver decent sound in Doom and Duke3D. Edited by Brostenen 2020-11-06 10:34 PM

TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | Bought an adaptor for Amiga, that sits between the Denise chip and the motherboard of an Amiga500 or Amiga2000. (OCS Amiga) The magic is, that I can attach an RaspberryPI-Zero, load up some software on the SD card and have HDMI-Output on the Amiga. Anyone interrested, I can give a link to the Github page, were there is an mail address for the maker of the adaptor. There are an Super-Denise version as well. I will post pictures, once I have it all bought, installed and working. The original product/solution, is an external scandoubler/upscaler-kind-of-thing'y, for MULTIPLE COMPUTERSYSTEMS/CONSOLES. And probably the most cheap one that delivers a solid result for the price. No more cheap solutions from China. YouTube, Part One YouTube, Part Two But the adaptor I bought is an internal solution.... I like internal Amiga upgrades over external ones. (And no, I am not the one in those two videoes, just the only in dept video's that I have found) Edited by Brostenen 2020-11-20 12:17 PM

TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | I am making "Ripper-pork" today. It is my own recepie, and I am only using herbs and spices, that was to be found in London in the 1890's. Hence the name Jack-The-Ripper-Pork. I develloped the recepie my self, and I named it. The picture is from when it went into the oven. The black liquid is a pint of porter. (beer type) Today I used 1.6 to 1.7 kilo of meat (just over 3 pounds) and is for 4 persons. I will be serving some baked roots for it (root-selleri, carrots, onions and that stuff), seasoned with thyme, black pepper, salt and garlic. TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | Well.... I recieved the Amiga500 RGB to HDMI adaptor. So today I ordered an RaspberryPI-Zero for it. I am really looking forward to try this out. If the lag is near nothing and the image quality is perfect, then I will recommend it. So far, from what I have read, it is a near perfect solution and the cheapest solution avaliable to add HDMI output on an Amiga500. Also, I bought an dehumidifier for my home. TM Crusoe Posts: 671 | Holy smokes.... That Amiga500 adaptor is awesomme for the price. :-O 59 euro including shipping for a total solution. Dang.... First I must REALLY point out my horrible English. And if anyone can stand it, then I have made a couple of videoes about it on my Youtube channel

Rise MP6 Posts: 263 | Your English is really good and keep making your videos! Like that Sony monitor but what a strange place to put an LED. Today, well yesterday, I found another couple of 200GB sata drives in the hoard. A pair of WD ones. So of course I set them up as RAID 0 on the VIA controller of my Win 98 machine. Why? Because RAID! Just a bit of fun, 98 hasn't complained about the 372GB "drive" yet and it's fast as fook! Hope everyone had a good Christmas, despite our communist dictators.

I still feel that my Danish accent shines too much through. I would love to speak English with a mix of Scottish and Irish accent. Oh well.... One can only dream.

TM Crusoe Posts: 618 Location: Hull, UK | Have been learning to speedrun Keen 6, using a new criteria that I call "Dorito%" because the 'official' criteria are kinda rubbish. This is incomplete. Also this way is old now, had to change the route and some methods. Doing this purely for fun, or I was initially, but now I also want to make a slight jab at the way you're apparently supposed to do it. Dorito% isn't about beating the game in the fastest overall time, it's about beating it as fast as you can on the worst hardware you dare to try with, I may well try with the 6MHz one some day, but it's really rough.
