Nice one with the Pi. Just today I've been gifted a Raspberry 3+ in a housing with a 7" touchscreen.
I don't know much about them really.
Nice... 3+ is a decent little machine. There are lots of things you can use a PI for. That can be stuff like running it as a standalone Amiga-emulator (Armbian or Amiberry). You can use it as a standalone Commodore64 emulator (Combian64). Then you can use it for running RiscOS. You can set it up as any type of Linux server. Pi-Hole (Add-removing tool for entire network). VPN server. Desktop Linux. And then all these tons of images that transforms it into a multi-arcade-emulator machine, with a nice interface and all customizeable. Or something else, that you choose, based on how good you are at programming and modding a Linux kernal. Uhhh.... And Windows10 IOT can be run on it as well.

It's just got the default Rasbian on there at the moment but it has a dual boot with openelec (I think) that boots to a Kodi install.
There is another couple of SD cards with it but I don't know what's on them. This daft screen case - housing thing it has, means you have to disassemble it to access the slot!

I bought a dual pack of shelf's for my computer stuff and other hobby things. They are grey and not galvanised, so I can have them inside the house at my computing area / home office. And I chose them in 40cm in dept, so I can have AT-Cases on the shelf's as well.

Just bought two nice things for my SixtyClone machine.
The first is an original VIC-II video chip. It is an 6569 Revision 5. One of the best longboard chips out there. I think it is only the Revision 7 that are better, yet the price diference makes the R7 a no-go. Also. My SixtyClone is an 250466-board, and they came with an R5.
The other is an ARM-SID. The quality is close to the original breadbin SID, and the original Model-C boards (shortboard), sounds crappy compared to the ARM-SID. Plus I want to create a C64 with the use of as many modern parts as possible. I can't wait to see what the FPGA-VIC-II and FPGA-CIA chips will be like.

I considered using some kind of small system to watch movies, but figured I'd just stick to VHS for now.
Bought a case to replace one which is disintegrating, this case is interesting to me because it is in my city, is the same type as my 'legacy' machine from where I worked and has a large mark where we used to write the inventory number on top of tipex. I will be inspecting the insides closely for some distinct markings to see if it is actually mine.
Also bought a second, very similar case to replace another busted one that cannot be repaired any longer.

In the process of setting up my new shelfes. And I had my daughter over the other day for dinner. I made some good old Danish food. Minced beef in brown gravy on top of mashed potato.

Dinner looks yummy too.
We do the mince with finely chopped onions and put the mash on top. We call it Cottage pie if beef or Shepherds pie if lamb.
Thanks. Yup. If there are leftovers from the day before, we bake it into a kind of Cottage pie as well.
The minced sauce thing called million bøf (million beef) are quite easy to make, although varies from family to family.
My recepie is the following:
- Giant fine chopped onion.
- 500 gram / 1 pound of minced beef.
- 3 medium siced Bay leafes.
- Black pepper.
- Red currant gello. (the one made from pure red currant and only sugar)
- Beef stock cubes (the ones that gives half a liter "soup" pr. cube)
- Water.
- Milk.
- Thickening mix, made from flour and water..
- This brown food die, made from burned sugar.
I chop the onion, and roast them tender and sweet in butter in a pot. Then add the meat and brown it.
Just about cover it with water, add the bay leafes and some black pepper.
Slow cook for 1 to 2 hours on low heat. Just simmering.
Remove the bay leafes after one hour.
Add some milk, add the red currant gelo and stock cubes (acording to how much the volume is).
Add the thickening mix to your liking (how thick you want the end result) and make a quick boil to remove flour taste.
Add the brown/black colouring and taste to see if it need more salt, sugar or black pepper.
It is really easy to make, and does not cost much to make. Alternatively you can use pork hearts (cut into 5x5mm small cubes)
instead of the minced beef and simmer it for 6 hours. Finally use 38% cream instead of milk.

And you can use calf-hearts or chicken-hearts instead of pork. The dish is what is known as: Hearts in creamsauce, here in Denmark.

You inspired me for last nights dinner, beef cottage pie, swimming in gravy though as I like it like that!
No probs. Hope you will get good use of the recepie. Just remember that the colouring that I provided a link for, add's bitterness to food. Basically you can finetune bitternes, saltines and sweetness more easy, if you have it in the kitcen. And because you only need a tiny amount, there are colour for a loooong time.
Today I bought a set of nearly every Commodore64 chips, for my SixtyClone project. Well. The ones I was missing.
I only need to source kernal-rom, caracter-rom, basic-rom and the memory.
The plan is to buy modern replacements as much as I can. That means S-Ram and not D-Ram, eliminating the VSP-Bug.

Bought an MOS 8500 CPU for my SixtyClone (runs more cold than the 6510) as well as the complete Rom set of 3 chips. The rom chips are aftermarket, yet they contain the same data as the original ones. Now I only need the S-Ram module, and the rest of the passive components (some capacitors, fuse, crystal and so on). That will have to wait untill I have more money.
Once all that is bought and soldered on. Then I will know if I did a complete year 1986 revision 250466 C64. If it works, then I can finally get the keyboard brackets and put the black board inside the black case.
The last thing befor inserting any chips in any sockets, will be a power on, to see if voltages are correct. So far no solder bridge on the sockets, and ground tests ok on all sockets. Solderwork looks ok and decent, yet in no way top pro'. Hehe. Worst thing about this project so far, is all the flux that need to be removed. Oh lord have I used lots of IPA and scrubbed on the board.

Yup. I will make a video about it. Building a vintage computer from the ground and up, is kind of the ultimate vintage statement. Hehe. It does not matter if it is a C64, ZX-Spectrum or Apple-II. A vintage computer build like this, is a cool thing. So yeah.... It deserves a video if I manage to get it working.
Hmmmm... reminds me. I need to buy a deadtest cartridge.
Speaking of vintage kit computers. I have not seen any Atari 800 kit anywere.

I've always been tempted to try building one of those 8088 kits, but know it would be a useless slab of a thing once completed. Shame there isn't one for 386 or 486 boards, I'd certainly like to build one of those.

That would be an awesomme kit to try and build. I actually am thinking about concentrating on kit computers in the future. I mean. I have been through all the PC stuff and Commodore stuff that I can aford these days. So building more kit computers, slowly and in small steps, might be the next thing for me. I would so love to build an Apple-II or perhaps go even more old school and do an Altair. There is just something about machines that run Basic, for some odd and bizarre reason. Perhaps it is just the build process that catches my attention.
One thing is sure.... I love to do an old machine, yet use as many modern replica chips as possible, and still maintaining between 97 to 99 percent compatibility or maintaining 97 to 99 percent of the original feel/experience of the machine.
