| Downloaded version 4.1 and had a go at it. One major bug, is that the BOOT.BMP on the first FAT partition need to be deleted after the SD card flashing. Else there is nothing really bad to be noticed. Actually runs pretty stable, without big issues. Though it has less controls over the picture quality. Better to have rock solid stability, than tons of image quality settings I say.... :-D
Today I am putting ut through a stresstest, that would have killed the 3.x version. Added +500 snes games in one go, over network. Scraping them for cover-art and information (download of data from database), and so far it is stable as well. This would have killed the 3.x version.
Testing on my OrangePI-PC board, as it is running cold enough. If this is turning out to be a rock solid release, I will test on the OrangePI-Plus2 board. That board is running extremely hot and need active cooling and heatsinks. Need to test more than just the SNES. Need to add NES, Genesis, MasterSystem and NeoGeo as well. If all successfull... I can go ahead and create my own retro console with lownoise fan and out of wood.
I will keep updates here, on my general and overall findings of this release.

| More updates.....
I connected one of them blue dual Playstation to USB controller converter dongles. And it is working nearly flawless.
I used two of them digital-only Ps1 controllers (the original/first model) in order to get it working.
It can not use the converter with only one controller. Other than that, it just works.
Then I gave it a quick torture test. While my son was gaming space invaders, I used FileZilla on my Linux laptop,
to transfer over 2000 roms. More exact 2300 roms in one single go. It had no influence while he gamed.
Yet the game menu froze a couple of times. It would automatically wake back to life after some 25 seconds when
the file transfer was finished. I guess this is CPU related, as the software show no signs of damage.
Basically what to be expected on a OrangePI-PC, when transfering lots of data and using it on the same time.
Nothing broke. Only temporary slowdown, when a lot is going on.

| Allright.... I managed to break the software/os/config files of this distribution. And I have no clue on what exactly went wrong. Though I am happy to have discovered a limit to this. Well.... It's much more stable than the previous one. That is for shure. Now. What went wrong?
I have broken the games list xml file for all emulators, in one go.
I have broken the controller configuration, so adding new controllers is impossible and remapping excisting does not work anymore.
This is after having the setup turned on, so the SD card would get extremely hot. Also, I have tried a buttload of different controllers, and swapped them numerous times, and I have used a dual-Playstation-controllerport to USB converter with only one controller attached. I finally managed to break it, during test of the converter, with only one digital-only controller (the original without thumbsticks). I have done a torture test, of uploading roms for 4 different systems in one go. That was a little under 3000 roms in one go. Then scraped them (downloading artwork and description of the games) for all four emulators in one go.
So...
Eighter it will break during:
- Getting too damn hot, corrupting the files or filesystem on the SD card.
- Fiddeling too much with the same config files. Thus revieling that you need to install controllers only once.
- Adding too many roms. Eighter too many files, making the xml file too large or just done too much before need of restart.
- Or the problem is that it can not scrape too much in one go.
I will try a new fresh installation, and see if it will act more stable with fewer games. Or something. Or it simply just need good active cooling, even on a OrangePI-PC. Eighter way... I have erased the SD card and give it a fresh install again.
