Location: UK | wondered if you folks had seen these? Been some of my favorites since they came out back in the 90's, very playable versions of old arcade games. Space Invaders, Centipede, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Galaxian & Galaga.
Nice site here dedicated to the series. With downloads of the lot. http://www.champ-em.com/
They run under both DOS and Windows, and only want a 486 33 MHz, although quite a few run fine on my old IBM 386 SX 25 MHz machine.
Don't see these mentioned often so thought I'd bring it to your attention.
Have fun!!!
Best,
Chris

Location: Hull, UK | Oh, I think I might have run across some of these before on those CD compilations that used to be around and I'm certain I remember one of my uncles playing Galaxia at one point. Seems like a good little stash of quick fun games and the small file sizes make them easy to get set up quickly on even a modest system.
25MHz IBM... Yes, I definitely remember you, I seem to think that I dragged my ValuePoint 325 out to find what the LED pins were. Damn, it just occurred to me that I've owned that thing 20 years now, my first machine and still nothing has broken. | |
