Hi all....
We all (well nearly all humans) like or sometimes even love music.... I will start this, by posting a couple of youtube links.
Please share some links of music you like.

Yeah, I actually know a guy who practically hates music. He listens to it, but only for the words because melodies, riffs, bass lines and chord progression in any real form irritates him immensely.
That aside, those are some rockin' tunes.
Here's a few (extremely varied) tracks I've listened to lately.

Meanwhile, I've listened to very little as of late. But I did play some 90s chav crap;
Never sure if I prefer this or the Factory Team Edit. This is the theme music for my NexGen... Yeah, I give my machines theme music just for a laugh, I may list them out some time... Maybe. Some of it is atrocious though.
Also listened to some Johnny Cash;
As well as figured that as I keep singing this whilst doing anything, I should probably listen to it;
Yeah, I'm one of those weirdos who likes Countdown to Extinction more than Rust in Peace, though it's only by a small margin. Symphony of Destruction I've often wondered if it influenced Duke Nukem 3D's theme, much like how my favorite track on the album, Skin O' my Teeth definitely influenced Duke Nukem II's music... Damn, guess I have to listen to that now (Oh, like I'm so upset about that, really... haha);
Also, it seems the color star rank thing works on these boards, though it's only on because I can't be bothered to turn it off.

I've been getting into Ghost B.C the last couple weeks. The current album tickles my fancy. I really like the throw back 70's metal era sound, BOC strikes me as a close comparison.

Papa Emeritus the third have taken them to another level, though I liked Papa Emeritus the second better.
He was older and wiser than the third. Not shure if the voice of Papa Emeritus the first is better or inferiour.

A bunch of odd-meter stuff;
Also been annoying someone I know with soppy 80s music because they despise it for some reason. Tell me the guy in the first one doesn't sound like a German Freddy Mercury;

I like that Electric Wizard. Very 70's Black Sabbath sounding. Never heard of them so that's cool to find something like that. Looks like they have been around for awhile.
This band I have really been digging lately. The Swedes sure have a metal sound I like. This song, Boomerang and Maximize are 3 songs I really like. They have a mid 2000's Soilwork sound which i like.

#Waybacktech:
That third video, is a typical emo band. Nothing wrong about that. Personally I like gothic metal more. Anyway... It's only a question of taste. ;-)
Speaking of Electric Wizard. The two guitarists are married. He is from Dorset in England, and she is from America.
Her name is Liz Buckingham, and before EW she played in a band called 13 or something.
If you want more of the Wizard, then try these albums:
They are rooted in a lot of dark stuff.... Despite that I am "The man without god nor' gods and religion", I am still a huge fan of them.

I am deeply impressed by this album. Double disc, so double video i guess. They are from sardinia and are deeply inspired by their culture, archeology, history and their special blend of christianity and paganism. The reason for that mix, are explained by them, as once christianity came to their island, the old gods and rites were upheld as well. They guess it is because sardinia is so isolated..... Please check "Stars of Orion" on disc two. It is so awesomme....

Great, now this is stuck in my head. For some reason I remember us thinking the guy's voice was funny and trying to copy him as kids in the playground. Like most songs, we had some stupid words to it but I only remember a few of them, assuming any more ever existed, they were something to the effect of;
"I wanna see your holy lulu, lady. I wanna feel your lulu in my hand.' and 'See my nuts!' but that's all I remember. Lulu is kinda slang for female genitalia but is usually only used by younger people, as we were at the time, thinking we were being super daring and that nobody had ever done anything like this before us.

Just lately I find myself reflecting on the time I spent building levels for Duke Nukem 3D. When working on levels I always put music on and, with every level, there were always certain songs that seemed to stick in my mind for some reason, maybe the rhythm was good for working to on a given level or something, but they always play in my head when I look back at the levels. Sometimes lyrics can be found in an obscure corner, they always serve, in my mind, as a kind of unofficial music for whatever versus what the map was published with.
This was always in my mind when working on the last one, Dimension Shift, possibly due to the slower than usual pace it had to be constructed at.
What makes me say that is these two kind took over and got played a lot towards the end when the pace quickened.
The one prior to that, Alien Abductee, was an awkward grind to make, being shelved for around five years before being dug back out and proving a bitch to work on due to the limited texture set. After a while things became more formulaic as usual and the music i played when working on it got faster. I wouldn't mind knowing if the girl in the Camelot track provided vocals for anything else, as I rather like her voice and feel that the track is constructed quite roughly, to the point that it wastes it. Similarly, I really wanna know what you'd call the genre that Body of Evidence track is from, I'd like to find more of it, it's fucking entrancing.
