Anyways, much appreciated.

Location: Hull, UK | Within the last couple of years. The capture card software seems to be a reskinned OBS or something similar, so it outputs broken files that crash the editor or cause other problems. To fix it, I have to feed the files to FFMPEG and convert them to raw, but this still isn't foolproof and you might even spot missing or jittering frames at the start of certain clips. Incidentally, this also caused Vegas to crash several times when trying to render and a lot of the editing was pretty much blind.
I think in the future I'll just have to accept a hit in quality, as the updated driver for the capture card no longer allows raw capture directly. My only remaining solution is to Fraps the capture window - but now it captures the whole application and not just the capture surface, and there's no borderless option now either - then crop out the UI and everything. Resolution will be low, frame rate will be poor, render times will be extremely long and it's only good until something else comes along to break this method too. |

| Oh, I'm using Vegas 18 [2020], last version to support Win7.
Pretty glitchy, but i think than it is better than adobe premiere.
